The way to the right muzzle

Muzzle measuring instructions

A custom-fit muzzle is like a custom-fit pair of glasses. No two dogs are alike, so professional fitting is essential to ensure the muzzle has as little impact on your dog as possible.

There are many reasons for wearing muzzles, and they're no longer taboo. Some people need them to protect their dogs from poison bait, others for traveling on public transport, and still others use them because their dog actually intends to hurt them.

It is important that the dog can open its mouth with a fitted muzzle and thus feels little discomfort.

At Unimon Chains we offer complete muzzle packages, but it is also possible to send us your own muzzle to have it coated.

Not sure which model is right for your dog? No problem! We're here to help!

To do this, you will need to measure your dog’s snout and head.

Below you will find a muzzle measuring instructions with which you can measure your dog.

The snout length, snout circumference, head circumference and snout width are measured. When measuring the snout length, make sure that the snout is measured from the point where the nose pad will later be located.

You can then send the measurements and a picture of the dog by email to office@unimon.at or by message on Instagram or Facebook so that we can recommend a model to you.

Small tip: Measurement pictures are an advantage! This way you can assess the fit even better!

Attention! We only recommend models. Custom-made models (coating and strap production) cannot be exchanged! However, thanks to our professional expertise, we have a very good hit rate when it comes to fits!

Once you know which model is suitable for your dog, you can easily order in the webshop. To get a complete muzzle, you have to choose 3 products:

-The blank muzzle (that's just the grid)

-The coating (powder coating/paint - can also be omitted)

-The straps (Biothane straps, nose pads and neck strap)

(Optional: throat strap - improves the hold of the muzzle and prevents it from being stripped off
